Abohar, Punjab: Abohar in Punjab's Fazilka district was marred with protests and a near shutdown after limbs of two men were chopped off on Saturday at a farmhouse allegedly owned by a leader of the ruling Akali Dal.
Bheem Tank died on the way to the hospital after both his hands and legs were cut off, while Gurjant Singh who lost his one hand was admitted in a serious condition in Amritsar.
A First Information Report has been filed against 11 people including the Akali Dal leader Shivlal Doda and his nephew, but no arrests have been made so far.
Additional police force has been deployed in Abohar to prevent further clashes.
