Vadodara: An Asiatic lioness, which had entered the Virpur-Gadhia village in Amreli district of Gujarat was captured and sent to Jasadhar medical centre for treatment, a senior forest department official said today.
"The lioness was captured and caged at around 3 AM on Sunday (December 18) from the forest area near the Virpur-Gadhia village. We found her to be weak and hence she was sent to the Jasadhar medical centre for treatment," T Kapaswami, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Amreli told PTI.
"After the lioness is found to be fully fit, she will be released in the forest," Mr Kapaswami added.
