BJP President Amit Shah will be campaigning for the ruling party today in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as part of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. He will address two public rallies in Bihar's Sitamarhi and Saran, followed by rallies in UP's Barabanki and Mohanlalganj in Lucknow district. A total 82 candidates are left in the fray in five Bihar Lok Sabha seats that will go to the polls in the fifth phase on May 6. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, too, will be in UP where she will address a public meeting in Bahraich's Nanpara. She will then head to Mohammadi where she will hold a 1.5-km long roadshow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met actor Sunny Deol in New Delhi today and posted a picture with him on Twitter, days after the 'Border'star joined the ruling BJP. Along with the photo, PM Modi also referenced the actor's period drama film "Gadar" with the famous dialogue "Hindustan Zindabad tha, hai, aur rahega."

Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accusing the Congress of doing "nothing" while in power, party president Rahul Gandhi said Saturday nobody had committed the "foolishness" of the notes ban and the "Gabbar Singh Tax" in the last 70 years.
