At least three Trinamool workers were injured in West Bengal after some unknown people threw a crude bomb at them in Domkal Municipality ward number seven, police said today.
The Trinamool workers were identified as Tujam Ansari, Masadul Islam, and Mallick Mondal. They have been admitted to Murshidabad Medical college hospital, police said.
Police said one of the injured persons is married to Domkal's councillor.
Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway in West Bengal's Murshidabad, along with in Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Jangipur constituencies of the state.
The Trinamool has fielded Abu Taher Khan as its candidate from Murshidabad against BJP's Humayun Kabir.
