Bangalore:
No let-up in bad news streaming in for Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, facing a fresh round of revolt. And now, a special court has found a prima facie case to investigate a criminal complaint filed against him by two city lawyers.
The lawyers have made Yeddyurappa the prime accused in five cases that include denotification of prime land. The Court has now asked the Lokayukta police to investigate the first of those cases, within six weeks.
"Now the investigating officer will register a crime and despatch an FIR against all these persons to the court," said Hanumanthappa, advocate representing the two lawyers.
The Congress too upped the ante against the Chief Minister.
"Once the FIR is issued on any person, not only the Chief Minister, definitely he is suspected. With suspicion he cannot do the job of administration and definitely not the role of a Chief Minister," said Dr G Parameshwar, Karnataka Congress President.
The prospect of an FIR now haunts the Chief Minister, who continues to play down the other challenge - dissidence.
"I am telling you that we are going to complete remaining two and a half years," said B S Yeddyurappa.
With political and legal troubles dogging him, Yeddyurappa is in a tight spot, yet again.
