While the House observes a holiday on the Independence Day, it would also have a holiday on August 16 and August 21.
This was announced in the House by PC Chacko who was in the Chair.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee and approved by the House.
"The sitting of the House fixed for Friday, August 16, 2013, may be cancelled and in lieu thereof the Lok Sabha may sit on Saturday, August 24, 2013," he said.
"It has also been decided that the Lok Sabha may sit on August 20 while the sitting for August 21 may be cancelled," Mr Chacko added.
