Ludhiana: Late Wednesday night, the Ludhaina police conducted a series of raids on restaurants and joints offering hukka to minors arresting more than 100 children. They were found having hukka at six different joints in the city.
The police freed all the children after a warning, most of them in the age group of 15 years to 17 years.
The police have registered a case against the club/joint owners and managers and have arrested more than six persons.
The police say they conducted the raids with help of health department and what these joints were offering to minors was illegal. The joints were charging Rs 500 per person for hukka.
