Betul: Six persons were killed and 40 others injured when an Amravati-bound private bus fell into a deep gorge near Betul on Wednesday, police said.
The mishap occurred at Sada Prasanna Ghat near Multai, about 70 km from the district headquarters, when the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle, they said.
The toll may go up as rescue operation was still on, they said.
The injured have been rushed to hospitals at Multai and Betul, police said.
