New Delhi: In the midst of strained ties with the UPA, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Chhagan Bhujbal, the Minister of Public Works and Special Assistance Department, has been accused of flouting norms.

The NCP leader allegedly awarded irregular sub-contracts to his relatives to build the Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi.

Sharad Pawar's NCP is scheduled to meet in Delhi this afternoon to decide on whether it will continue to participate in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre.

In a letter sent to the Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Friday, Sharad Pawar warned that his NCP may choose to opt out of the government and provide external support.
