Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday went ahead with a major administrative reshuffle transferring 40 senior bureaucrats including 21 IAS officers.
The transfers and postings were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar, an official spokesman said.
Among the prominent officers who have been transferred, is Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir Shailendra Kumar, who has been posted as Commissioner Secretary to the government in the department of Tourism and Culture.
Mr Kumar has been replaced by Rohit Kansal who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, the spokesman said.
