Guwahati:
A devastating fire broke out in the Guwahati Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation at Noonmati area of the city on Sunday, official sources said.
A loud explosion was heard around 3.20 pm and black smoke seen billowing out of the refinery.
Fire control measures of the refinery was put into service immediately, while four fire engines rushed to the spot to douse the fire, the sources said.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, though officials ruled out the possibility of any sabotage.
