Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday exhorted India's scientists to make the successful Mars mission "a base for challenging the next frontier".
"This too must become but a base for challenging the next frontier," a tweet by the Prime Minister's Office said after the spacecraft Orbiter was successfully inserted into the Martian orbit on Wednesday.
"Let today's success drive us with even greater vigour and conviction. Let's set ourselves even more challenging goals," the tweet cited the prime minister as saying.
