Ahmedabad: Dancer-activist Mallika Sarabhai today announced that she is joining Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party as a "foot soldier."
"I have worked a lot with Arvind (Kejriwal). My values match with his Aam Aadmi Party," she said when asked about her decision and added that the year-old party must be given a chance.
The Aam Aadmi Party has seen many big inductions in the last few days. Among them are top banker Meera Sanyal, Captain Gopinath who created Air Deccan, Infosys board member V Balakrishnan and singer Remo Fernandez.
After its spectacular debut in Delhi, the party is all set to launch its campaign for the national elections, due by May. From January 10 to 26, it will conduct a national membership drive called 'Main Bhi Aam Aadmi.'
