A man, who introduced himself as an IPS officer from Jammu and Kashmir over the phone, tried to seek information about the India Air Force base from the office of Superintendent of Police in Barmer, a senior official said.
According to news agency PTI, the accused made a call to the SP's office yesterday introducing himself as a senior IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre and sought some "classified information" yesterday.
But, no information was shared with him, said SP Paris Deshmukh said, adding that an inquiry has been ordered.
