Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh:
Angry villagers set fire to a police station in Simbhavali, near Ghaziabad, after a young man was shot dead in police firing.
The victim was identified as Parvez, 30, a resident of village Vat.
The incident happened when a police team raided a gambling hub. As the police entered people started running around. The police fired to stop them and the young man was shot, who died on the spot.
Enraged villagers then set the Simbhavali police station and a magistrate's vehicle on fire.

Three police officials have been suspended for the death of the man in "accidental" firing.
Senior Superintendent of Police Akhil Kumar had on Monday admitted that it was a mistake on the police's part that had led to the violence.
