The bodies of ten victims from Kerala's Kasarogod are yet to be identified. With bodies kept at the morgue in Mangalore hospital having more than two to three claimants, the authorities have opted for a DNA test. The delay is only adding to the grief of the families.

Geetha is lying on the bed, struggling to come to terms with the worst tragedy in her life. There is only silence now, at a time when Geetha expected the house to be filled with Sukumaran's laughter.

Her husband, who worked in Dubai, was coming home to spend time with Geetha in their newly built house in his village Myallatti in Kasargod. But he was on Air India Express flight and never made it home.

The dream house of Sukumaran was constructed by him for his family with his hard work in Dubai. The construction of the house was completed only last month, but Sukumaran was not fortunate enough to live here, even for a single day.

This is the second tragedy for the family this year. Four months ago Sukumaran's father passed away. And now, added to the pain of losing Sukumaran, is his family's struggle to get his body.

There are other bereaved families, who have claimed the body, and now they are all waiting for a DNA test, which will take a few days.

"The District Collector has promised that the body will be identified in a week. The family members are distressed. For the last two days, they have not even had water," said Sadanandnan, Sukumaran's brother.

There are nearly ten such families in Kasargod district unable to deal with the stress of waiting for bodies of their loved ones at a time when they are already shattered by the loss.
