Imphal: The CBI has filed chargesheets against nine Manipur policemen in a fake encounter case that had caused huge public outrage last year.
The policemen had shot dead a pregnant woman and an ex-militant on a busy highway in Imphal.
The policemen are accused of connivance, murder and filing false reports. Sources say, arrest warrant may be issued soon.
The CBI inquiry was ordered after Guwahati High Court had asked Manipur government to do so.
