New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers are protesting near the BJP offices in Delhi amid tight security, day after the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy case.
Mr Sisodia reached the Rouse Avenue court and was produced before Judge MK Nagpal.
The CBI court granted five days of custody of Manish Sisodia till March 4.
Delhi Police has erected barricades on several roads leading to DDU Marg where both the BJP headquarters and the AAP office are located.
Protests were also organised in several other states across the country. Many protesting AAP workers were detained by the police.

"It's a political case, he is a political victim. We still have faith in the judiciary, this case will not stand in court," Manish Sisodia's lawyers said.
We will hopefully get him bail on March 4. The remand was given on only one point that the CBI needs more time to question Mr Sisodia because he didn't cooperate yesterday, they added.

"Everything Has To Be Done With Permission Of Lt Governor": Manish Sisodia's Lawyer
"As per Article 293 A, the government can't do anything. Everything has to be done with the permission of the Lt Governor. Even the 12% margin clause was part of the note that was sent to the Lt Governor and it was cleared without any objection. The agency wants to go behind what an elected government ought to do" Mr Sisodia's lawyer said.

The CBI claims that I was not able to explain the changes to the policy. Is that ground for remand? Mr Sisodia's lawyer said.
"He was summoned thrice and he appeared twice. CBI alleges that I was concealing true facts of the case. Their case is that I did not confess. That's their case. They expect me to answer the way they want," he added.
