New Delhi: Former prime minister Manmohan Singh today condoled the death of Kamla Advani, wife of BJP veteran LK Advani, saying she was a noble lady who stood with her husband throughout the life.
Mr Singh, who was in Guwahati, called up Mr Advani to convey his heartfelt condolences on the passing away of his wife.
"Smt Kamala Advani was a very noble lady who stood with him throughout her life. May God give him the strength to bear this unbearable loss," he told the former deputy prime minister.
83-year-old Kamla Advani died today at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to heart failure.
Sources close to the family said she complained of uneasiness and breathlessness and was rushed to the AIIMS where doctors tried to revive her but in vain.
She had been suffering from age-related problems for some time and was on wheelchair for the last few months.
