Nearly 48 hours after an under-construction building collapsed in Cancona in Goa, killing 17 people, the rescue operations have been called off. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, addressing a press conference this afternoon, said a building next to the crash site has started tilting, causing them to call off the efforts.

- 12 people are listed as not traceable.
- No surviving person in the debris, that is our guess.
- 17 bodies have been pulled out. 12 people are still listed as missing. We are not saying all of them are dead.
- We have ordered the withdrawal of rescue teams. Now debris are being removed to locate dead bodies.
