Hyderabad: There are strong indications that Maoists are infiltrating into the Telangana movement, a top
police official said here on Wednesday.
"Apart from students, professional agitators are involved in various protest rallies in different parts of Telangana for the past several days. We have information that they (Maoists) will also mix up with protesters during the proposed 'Chalo Assembly Call' tomorrow," IGP A R Anuradha told reporters here.
The IGP made it clear that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Joint Action Committee of Students' proposed plan to march to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly tomorrow will be dealt
with force.
She also appealed to the people coming to Hyderabad on December 10 to avoid their journey.
Professional agitators are behind Osmania University violence and the chances of Maoists infiltration in tomorrow's rally cannot be ruled out, Anuradha said.
Prohibitory orders has been enforced near the Assembly and all roads leading towards it will be closed tomorrow, a police spokesperson said.
"If any rally is undertaken it will be termed as unlawful assembling and all those violating will be taken into preventive custody," the spokesperson added.
