Midnapore, West Bengal: The Maoists have once again resorted to what they have done in the past - violence. On Tuesday, they brutally killed a school teacher in the jungles of west Midnapore.
The shear brutality of the Maoists can be gauged from the fact that the victim was pierced in the eye, the ear, the leg and possibly abdomen.
Suspected Maoists, had kidnapped Satya Kinkar Hansda, of Sirisboni village a few days back.
The body was found near Goaltore in Maoist infested West Midnapore district.
The teacher, who was a member of an anti-Maoist group was apparently warned by Maoists earlier.
Mahato, a teacher at the Purulia Vivekananda High School, was an active member of Gana Pratirodh Committee, which is a rival of the Maoist-backed People's Committee against Police Atrocities.
In October, Maoists beheaded a special branch inspector Francis Indwar and threw his body on a slip road leading to National Highway 33 that connects Patna to Jamshedpur.
