Maoists kill Trinamool worker in West Bengal

Jhargram (WB): Suspected Maoists shot dead a Trinamool Congress worker near Jhargram in West Midnapore district in West Bengal.

Police said the bullet-riddled body of 26-year-old Rishi Dolai was found from Barokuria ghat on the Kangsabati river on Wednesday morning.

At least 25 armed Maoists surrounded Dolai's house at Manikpara last night and took him out on gunpoint to the riverside, police said.

His hands were tied behind and he was shot on the head from a point blank range.

Dolai was an aide of SK Mintu Ali, a local Trinamool leader, who was killed by Maoists on January 7.
