Muzaffarnagar: Police personnel in Muzaffarnagar district have decided to donate their one day salary to the families of two policemen killed in the Mathura clash, a police official said.
SSP Deepak Kumar said on Saturday that police personnel of Muzaffarnagar district have decided to give their one day salary amounting to Rs 24.50 lakh to the families of the two police officers killed in a clash with about 3,000 members of a little-known sect in the temple town of Mathura.
Mukul Dwivedi, Superintendent of Police and Santosh Yadav, Station House officer, Farah, were killed in the violence that also claimed the lives of 22 members of the sect.
