New Delhi:
Congress on Saturday refused to comment on the spat between BSP supremo Mayawati and senior BJP leader Maneka Gandhi over the invoking of NSA against Varun Gandhi.
"When both of them are talking to each other, it is not appropriate for a third party to intervene between them," senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal told reporters when asked to react to the controversy.
Earlier in the day, UP chief minister Mayawati while attacking Maneka Gandhi said if she was a good mother she would not have endorsed Varun's speeches and inculcated the right values in her son.
Mayawati was reacting to Maneka Gandhi's statement attacking Mayawati for targeting Varun and attributed political motive behind the move to keep him in jail during election time.
