The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is expected to launching a phased agitation against the anti-farmer policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP).
Announcing this at a press conference in Lucknow, BSP chief Mayawati said "in the first phase of the agitation, protests would be held at all district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh on April 27."
And if the problems are not solved, the former UP chief minister said, "the second phase of the agitation would be launched on May 2 as a nationwide stir."
