Mayawati expels Mukhtar Ansari from BSP

Lucknow: Mayawati has expelled mafia turned politician Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari from the BSP. A press release issued by the party said that the decision to expell them was being taken as the two brothers were involved in anti-party and criminal activities.

Interestingly only recently Mukhtar was shifted out of Ghazipur jail to Kanpur as the police had recovered objectionable material from his prison cell.
