Medical bulletin on Akbar Owaisi's health

Hyderabad: The condition of Andhra Pradesh legislator and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi remained critical on Sunday, a day after he was stabbed and shot at by his rivals, doctors attending on him said.

Following is the text of Medical Bulletin issued by Care Hospital, Banjara Hills, about MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi's condition on Sunday:

"MR akbaruddin owaisi,age 38, years was received from Owaisi Hosptial at 9.30 pm on 30-04-2011. He received initial surgical attention and a prolong intra-abdominal surgery at Owaosi hospital for the injuries he sustained.

The injuries documented by the primary operating team were:

1. Injury to left kidney
2. Injury to upper portion of large intenstine on the left side
3. Injury to urinary bladder
4. Multiple injuries to upper left limb

He was received from Owaisi hospital with ventilator (respiratory support and inotropic support for maintainng his blood pressure)

At present he is in acute kidney failure and he is on dialysis...he is still receiving inotropic support to maintain his blood pressure and also continues to be on ventilator support...

He will need a second surgery today for his abdominal injuries. Overall, the condition of Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi is critical and he is being continuously being monitored very closely and intensely by a team of specialist.
