Mexico City: After bilateral talks at Los Pinos, the residence and office of the President Enrique Pena Nieto in central Mexico City, the President and his guest Prime Minister Narendra Modi drove out for meal at a restaurant.

President Pena Nieto, 49, drove, PM Modi sat next to him in the car.

They headed to a restaurant called Qunitonil, tweeted foreign ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup, for a "Mexican vegetarian fare."

Mr Swarup called the outing "bonding over bean tacos," which possibly gives an insight into at least one dish that was ordered. Or then may be it just made for good alliteration.

In photographs from the restaurant that Mr Swarup has tweeted, there is no food on the table yet. The two leaders are seen sitting in an unassuming eatery on a regular table talking intently.

In earlier tweets the foreign ministry spokesperson detailed PM Modi's meeting with President Pena Nieto at Los Pinos. He called it "an India-Mexico tango."
