Shimla: Himachal Pradesh was again rocked by a low intensity earthquake on Thursday, the fourth one in less than 48 hours, an official said. There was no loss of life.
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded at 3.34 am Thursday, the Meteorological office told IANS.
The first earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale was recorded at 5.34 pm on Tuesday.
Another earthquake (3.7 on Richter scale) followed at 11.56 pm on the same day and the third, also of the same intensity, was recorded at 5.26 am on Wednesday.
The epicentre of all the quakes was on the border of districts of Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti, bordering Jammu and Kashmir.
