Hyderabad: MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi today urged the Centre to call an all-party meeting on the violence in the Kashmir Valley.
The Hyderabad lawmaker said the meeting should be called to discuss how to end the cycle of violence and to show empathy following street protests that have claimed 30 lives.
The valley has been in the grip of violence since security forces shot dead terrorist Burhan Wani on Friday.
"Why has the Modi government abandoned process which was started by Vajpayee government on Kashmir i.e. development to isolate separatists," he asked.
The MIM leader also found fault with National Conference leader and former chief minister Omar Abdullah, who has criticised the handling of the situation by the present government.
