Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has demanded resignation of State Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah for allegedly dancing with a skimpily-clad Russian girl in Khandwa district two days back.
"Shah should immediately resign for dancing with a skimpily-clad Russian ballet dancer. His vulgar dance at a state government's function has brought disrespect to the Indian culture, MPCC spokesman K K Mishra told reporters.
"We are going to meet Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and if he does not sack Shah we are going to meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur for his removal," he added.
Mishra said the MPCC is gong to send CD copies, containing the Shah's vulgar dance, to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, senior BJP leader L K Advani, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and others who speak of high values.
"Shah has shown the real face of the BJP which gives moral teachings and preaches high values. The MP Tribal Minister had danced with the woman at the Tribal Welfare department festival tagged Advasi (tribal) Kala Utsav at Malgaon in Khandwa," he said.
The performance of the Christina Ballet Dance Group with some weapons was a major draw at the last day of the six-day Utsav.
Shah, meanwhile, has denied the charge.
