New Delhi:
The Civil Aviation Ministry will investigate the Jet Airways flight scare which may have endangered scores of passengers.
A Jet Airways flight, which was about to land at Mumbai airport in October, came close to disaster when a check pilot on the flight decided to pull out the circuit breaker. The check pilot reportedly pulled out the circuit breaker to test the pilot's ability to handle an emergency.
According to aviation rules, such tests can be conducted only in simulated flights, and not on a normal flight with a planeload of passengers.
The pilot who pulled out the circuit breaker has now lost his check pilot status.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken note of the reports and is investigating the incident now.
