Purnea:
Police sources have told NDTV that school teacher Rupam Pathak who stabbed MLA Raj Kishore Kesri in Bihar in public view has named the MLA's personal assistant Vipin Rai during preliminary questioning.
She said Rai had exploited her over the last four years, and that she had complained to the police about him last year.
Meanwhile, the MLA's family has filed an FIR against Rupam. Police sources say the FIR also names a friend of Rupam, Navlesh Pathak and another person who allegedly drove Rupam in a Maruti Van from her school to the MLA's house.
The FIR charges Rupam of murder and criminal conspiracy.
Rupam Pathak on Tuesday smuggled a kitchen knife into a janta durbar at Kesri's residence. Kesri had just been re-elected for a fourth time. He died minutes after Rupam attacked him. She was in turn assaulted by people at the darbar, and is now in hospital.
Rupam's recent past has been turbulent. She was by now estranged from her husband, a teacher who had moved to Imphal with their two children. In June last year, she filed a police case accusing Kesari of raping her in 2007. She later retracted that statement in court.
