Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today escaped unhurt when his SUV was reportedly hit from behind by one of the cars in his motorcade near a toll plaza in Thane.
Nobody was injured in the mishap.
The incident occurred in afternoon when Mr Thackeray's motorcade was nearing Kharegaon toll Naka as one of the cars rammed into his Land Cruiser from behind, a local MNS leader said.
When contacted, police said they had not registered any case in this regard.
Immediately after the incident, the MNS activists arranged for another car for Mr Thackeray who then proceeded to Nashik, the leader added.
