Patna: The Patna High Court today granted bail to former RJD lawmaker Mohammad Shahabuddin in a case relating to the killing of two brothers by drenching them in acid 12 years ago.
A division bench of Justice Anjana Mishra and Justice RK Mishra granted bail to Shahabuddin in the case for want of evidence.
A Siwan court had on December 12 last year sentenced former lawmaker Shahabuddin to life imprisonment in the 2004 double murder case.
A case in this regard was registered with Muffasil police station of Siwan.
The bail would not bring out the former lawmaker out of Siwan jail as he is facing conviction in other cases.
