Bangalore:
Krishna Byre Gowda has been chosen by the Congress to contest from the prestigious Bangalore South constituency.
Krishna's name comes as an absolute surprise; it is the other Krishna, the party bigwig and former Chief Minister, who was rumoured to be standing against Ananth Kumar.
The Congress went through flip-flops, before settling for this young MLA who is also close to Rahul Gandhi.
Incidentally, this is the one which has been chosen by Capt Gopinath to contest as an Independent. Also, Veerappa Moily from Chikballapur has been confirmed.
