New Delhi: There is good news for people sweltering under the sun, especially in Delhi. The country is expected to see its best monsoon in four years.
The monsoon is picking up, but it is still seven percent below normal. This is the best figure since 2006.
Last year, at about this time, it was 39 percent below normal, before that the deficiency was 14 percent.
In 2007, the monsoon was recorder 16 percent below normal, while 2006 was much better at 68 percent above normal.
The year 2005 was terrible with the monsoon as much as 51 percent below normal.
