Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon has further advanced into Odisha and covered the whole of the state today, an Indian Metrological Department report said.
The monsoon had covered the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and some parts of the adjoining of Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Khorda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts yesterday.
Today, it spread to all 30 districts of the state, the report said.
The MeT department predicted heavy rains at one or two places in the interior part of the state in the next 24 hours and continuance of rainfall for the next five days.
