Durban: India has managed to secure a big moral victory at the Climate Summit in Durban. It has been successful in getting the word "equity" entered into the draft of the working group, which means it will be included in the agenda of all future talks.
This is important because it means rich nations can't shift their greater responsibility to take climate actions. It also opens up the door to the line of negotiations for the future that India wants.
This was one of the three main key demands that India had brought to Durban.

Environment Minister Jayanti Natrajan, who's at the climate change talks in Durban told NDTV: "These are trade actions disguised as climate actions...We will be paying carbon tax for flying aircrafts and thereby contributing ourselves to the green climate fund.... All of us are voicing our concerns and every concern is a valid concern."
