Bangalore: The attendant of a private school in Bangalore has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a three-year-old student.
The child's parents filed a police complaint alleging that she was abused at the school in east Bangalore twice. The complaint reportedly gives details of alleged abuse in October and then again in November.
Police say the man accused by the parents was arrested three days ago.
Bangalore has seen angry protests over at least four other incidents of sexual assault on schoolgirls since July.
Hundreds of parents took to the streets after the rape of a six-year-old at Vibgyor International School, for which two gym instructors were arrested.
As parents alleged lax security in schools, the police in August ordered a set of safety measures that included CCTV cameras and GPS in schoolbuses. Nearly 200 schools were booked in September for not following the guidelines.
