Omar Abdullah, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has accused the state government of spying on him.
"Mufti Govt brazenly spying on me. A journalist interviewing me for a national daily just got stopped right outside my gate by CID person," Mr Abdullah tweeted this afternoon.
Mr Abdullah alleged that the journalist was asked who she was and the purpose of her visit. Addressing Chief Minister Mohammad Saeed directly in a tweet, he said:

Dear Mufti Sb if you & your apparatchiks want to know what I'm up to pick up the phone & ask me. Please don't accost people outside my gate!

Mr Abdullah stepped down as Chief Minister in December, after losing in state elections to the Mufti-led People's Democratic Party.
