Accusing SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav of ditching and insulting him, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on Sunday said the party will be "wiped out" in the next assembly elections.
"I had been ditched several times in my life, but who-so-ever has ditched me and hurt my sentiments had been ruined," Kalyan said, addressing workers of his newly founded Jan Kranti Party here.
Alleging that BJP first used and later insulted him, Kalyan said that party's fate was known to all as it had been reduced to mere 51 MLAs in UP.
"Mulayam treated me in a similar manner. He first came to me and requested to join SP and when I refused, he took Rajvir (son) and appointed him as the national general secretary,"
the former UP chief minister said.
"Later Mulayam used insulting language against me in front of cameras which hurted me deeply. But I know that like BJP, SP too will be ruined. The party will never be able to form the government either in the state or the Centre," he said.
Asked if JKP will work with Amar Singh, Kalyan replied, "only time will tell". However, he welcomed Singh's recent outburst against Mulayam.
"SP has turned out to be a party of a particular caste and the entire backwards community is not supporting it," he said.
