Multiplex-film producers break deadlock?

Mumbai: With the IPL now over, Bollywood can't really continue with the ongoing strike and lose out on precious release dates. Sources say the month long producers strike may finally be coming to an end.

According to sources, in a meeting on Wednesday night, the two warring sides have reached a decision wherein the producers will end their month and a half long strike and new movies will make their way to the multiplexes.

The producers were demanding a flat 50 per cent share in ticket sales for all films being released in multiplexes. The exhibitors on the other wanted the profit sharing to be based on the box office performance of a particular film.

Sources say the joint announcement would be made in the next 48 hours.
