Mumbai: A bomb threat call received for a Mumbai-Doha flight turned out to be a hoax on Monday. Just minutes before the Qatar-bound Jet Airways flight 9W 552 was to take off from the Mumbai airport at 8.25 pm, "an anonymous note, sighting a non-specific security threat was found by a guest aboard the flight," said a Jet Airways spokesperson.
"Jet Airways duly informed all the requisite authorities of the same, including the CISF and the Mumbai Airports Authority in the interest of safety for its guests and crew," the spokesperson said.
The aircraft was brought back to its parking bay and all the passengers were deplaned before the security agencies started a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
