Mumbai to face 30 per cent water cut from today

Mumbai: Mumbai's water crisis is becoming a nightmare for the residents as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation imposed 30 per cent water cut from Monday midnight onwards.

The decision was taken in the standing committee meeting as water level is receding in the catchment areas, which still have not received monsoon rain.

The BMC has asked five-star hotels to make their own arrangements for maintaining their swimming pools. Meanwhile, each civic ward in the city is to be given funds to maintain wells in their respective colonies.
