MUNICH: Nine people were killed and 16 injured after gunmen opened fire at a shopping centre in Munich in Germany on Friday. The Indian Ambassador in Germany has said there are no reports of any Indians among casualties.
Indian Ambassador Gurjit Singh also tweeted, "Request all Indians in Munich area to look out for others and check on them as situation is uncertain."
The Indian Consulate in Munich has also released helpline numbers.
The shooting spree began at a McDonald's restaurant and continued on a nearby street before the gunmen moved into the mall near the Olympic stadium in the southern German city, the Munich police said.
