New Delhi:
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday said she was upset over the Commonwealth Games controversy.
"Yes, I am upset about it too. I don't know what the issues are. If the issues have been discussed after an appointment with the Prime Minister and clarification had either been given or sought. I think that would have been a better and more dignified approach," she said.
The CM was speaking to NDTV's Group Editor Barkha Dutt on the show The Buck Stops Here.
Sheila said she was ready to talk to Chairman of the organising Committee of Commonwealth Games, Suresh Kalmadi, but her guidance was not sought on matters relating to Commonwealth Games preparations.
"I would be a very very happy and a willing listener if my guidance is sought, but it has to be sought. You see nobody has approached us. I have read about it as much as you have or anybody else has. I don't think that was the right kind of approach. It should appear you know. If a letter has been written to the Prime Minister. So let the meeting between him and the Prime Minister take place. And then the outcome can easily be brought out in the public domain. Because everybody is guessing like you are guessing. Everybody else is guessing -- what is the matter, what has gone wrong. Nobody knows what has gone wrong and what the matter is," she said.
