Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will declare Andhra Pradesh as 100 per cent household electrification state on June 8, AP State Energy Conservation Mission (SECM) has said.
A total of 4.74 lakh household have been electrified by the end of 2014-15 and the remaining 2.09 lakh will be electrified by May 16 to reach the 100 per cent household electrification, SECM stated in a press release.
It said that to meet the demand this summer, the power utilities are gearing up with an action plan to provide continuous power supply without any interruption to all consumers in the state.
The present demand for power is 158 million units a day and it may increase in the coming days with rise in temperatures, the SECM added.
