New Delhi:
Congress has decided to issue show-cause notice to 35 MPs, including some ministers, for not being present at the time of scheduled introduction of nuclear bill in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Faced with a united Opposition in Parliament, the government had to withdraw the controversial Nuclear Liability Bill before its introduction in the lower House.
The government wrote to the Speaker to officially withdraw the Bill from the list of business.
The Bill was a key step in the operationalisation of Indo-US nuclear deal, something the Prime Minister was said to be keen on passing before US President Barack Obama's Iindia visit later this year.
